In the short 5-6 week window when weather conditions are just right and the sap is flowing, maple farmers around New England scramble to collect, boil and process as much of this sweet liquid gold as possible. Celebrate the season with us as we enjoy all things maple!

We'll begin our adventure at Parker's Maple Barn where we will enjoy a delicious sugar party brunch featuring eggs, sausages, pancakes, bacon, maple ham, and plenty of fresh maple syrup products! Browse their unique gift shop to pick up some maple products.

Then visit Ben's Sugar Shack in their brand new state of the art location. We will learn about traditional collecting methods using sap buckets AND the modern way with plastic lines. Check out the evaporator room, learn about the Reverse Osmosis system they use, and then the best part: sampling! Sample their fresh & hot maple donuts, maple soft serve ice cream, maple roasted nuts, maple cotton candy, maple fudge, maple BBQ sauce, all 3 grades of syrup, maple soda and more! There will be plenty of time to browse their shop.

End the day with a palate cleanser - fresh cheese at Smith Country Cheese & Dairy Farm! Visit with the dairy cows and in the farm's country shop learn about the cheese making process and shop for unique gifts. In addition to farmstead cheeses, they carry a variety of gifts to please just about everyone: gourmet local food items, home décor, natural body products, candles, and more!
