Ring in the New Year by celebrating the 138th anniversary of this New Year's tradition in beautiful Pasadena, California. You'll have reserved seats for the best in parade viewing as you watch the magnificent floral floats, equestrians and marching bands in the Tournament of Roses Parade.

 

DAY 1 - Fly from Boston to LA, where we will transfer to our hotel for the entire week, the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa. This evening enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel. (D)

 

DAY 2 - After breakfast, you'll visit several of the floats and see the final touches of assembly. Then, lunch at Lawry's The Prime Rib in Beverly Hills and finish the day by experiencing Hollywood like never before! Take a guided tour of a working Hollywood Studio. You'll see where the movie magic is made and learn about the rich history of the film industry. The evening is at leisure. (B,L)

 

DAY 3 - Start your day off with a buffet breakfast before heading off to spend the day on Catalina Island. You'll board one of the Catalina Island Express ferries for a short one-hour cruise to the island. Once you arrive, the day is yours to get acquainted with the storybook town of Avalon, which you'll find is packed with boutiques, restaurants, and fun things to do! You might want to take a tour of the historic casino, a guided tour of Avalon, or rent a golf cart or bicycle to sightsee on your own this afternoon. The evening will be filled with elegant dining, dancing and the fun of a live "Monte Carlo" style casino. There will be hats and party favors, a drawing for exciting prizes and a champagne toast to ring in 2027. (B,D)

 

DAY 4 - Enjoy an early morning breakfast at the hotel before heading to Pasadena, where you will have reserved premium grandstand seats as you watch the Rose Parade make its way down Colorado Boulevard. A souvenir program and blanket are included. After the parade, you'll be treated to a special Backyard Style BBQ at the Hilton. You will have some free time to relax before joining us in the ballroom in the late afternoon for an exclusive performance. (B,D)

 

DAY 5 - After breakfast at the hotel, we head back to Pasadena for FloatFest, where all of the parade floats will be on display! Later that morning we will head to Hollywood City for guided tour, with time for lunch on your own at the Original Farmers Market. Enjoy a delicious dinner at Newport Harbor. (B,D)

 

DAY 6 - Stop for a visit at Mission San Juan Capistrano, founded in 1776 by Spanish Catholic missionaries of the Franciscan Order. Then, enjoy time to explore the historic Los Rios District, the oldest neighborhood in California. We'll travel down the coast to spend the afternoon in San Diego. In the Old Town, we'll take the hop-on-hop-off bus to tour the city. (B)

 

DAY 7 - Fly home to Boston.
