Enjoy the Pennsylvania Amish Farmlands picturesque scenery as you meander across country roads and learn about the Amish way of life. Take advantage of the chance to “Jonah” at Sight and Sound’s Millennium Theatre!

DAY 1 – We’ll start our Amish adventure with a stop to shop at the Bird-In-Hand Farmer’s Market before checking into our hotel, the newly renovated Hershey Farm Resort for two nights. Tonight, you’ll enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal on a real, working Amish farm. (D)

DAY 2 – Our local guide will take us on a tour of the Amish countryside, with stops at an Amish market, farm, broom shop and bakery. Along the way, we’ll learn about the Amish beliefs and customs. Then, enjoy time for lunch and shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village for some authentic Pennsylvania Dutch Country shopping in the 40 specialty shops of the Village. Visit the Jam & Relish Kitchen to see the local Mennonite women canning jams, salsas & relishes – with LOTS of samples to tempt you! After lunch, you’ll have the option to enjoy tickets to the show “Jonah” at Sight & Sound’s Millennium Theatre or relax at the hotel before our delicious PA Dutch Smorgasbord at Hershey Farms Restaurant. DAY 3 – Experience the sights, sounds and smells of a real, working dairy farm on the Kreider Farms tour. This tour features a high-tech view of farming, including a drive down the middle of their maternity barn and a bird's eye view of the milking carousel where they milk 1,800 cows, 3 times every day. Afterwards, we’ll visit Seltzer Smokehouse for a 30-45 minute tour. Their expert guides will lead you through an in-depth look at each step of the smoked meat process. From the secret spice blends to hand-tended fires, witness the artistry that goes into creating their signature flavors. We’ll get a tasty boxed lunch to enjoy on our ride back to the Cape. (B, L)
