Holiday entertaining can be stressful - what wines do I serve, what do I put out for an appetizer? And how much do I buy? Join us on this trip and take the stress out of your holiday entertaining! We'll watch an informative video on making a charcuterie board, the hot new trend in entertaining. You'll also receive a cheat sheet on how much meat & cheese to purchase per person and a book full of charcuterie ideas.

Our first stop will be at Formaggio Kitchen, an institution in Cambridge for over 40 years. We'll visit their Cheese Cave to learn how they store their cheese for optimum flavor. Their staff will be happy to help you choose meats & cheeses that will pair well together. Formaggio Kitchen has put together a goodie bag for each of us with charcuterie products that will lay the foundation for your charcuterie board.

Then we'll stop at the Prudential Center to enjoy lunch (on own) and shopping. You may want to stop at Eataly to pick up some cheese, meats, and accompaniments for your board - the shop is filled with gourmet Italian treats!

Our last stop will be at the Urban Grape for a 60-minute wine tasting experience. They will introduce you to a new approach for classifying wines, which wines pair well with cheese, and sample 4-5 wines. They offer wines from many New England wineries, so you're bound to find one that will suit your budget and pair well with what you are serving. Their staff is well qualified to answer any questions you may have and help you with your wine selection. You will get a 20% discount off your wine purchase. You will want to bring a small cooler for your purchases!
