Come experience the enchanting lights and Europeanstyle wooden stalls of Montreal’s Christmas Markets! You’ll get the opportunity to browse three different markets on this winter getaway.

 

DAY 1 – On our way to Montreal, we will stop for shopping and lunch in the charming town of Hanover, NH. Then, visit the King Arthur Flour company headquarters & baker’s store, packed with everything you need for baking, from hard-tofind ingredients, innovative gadgets, and top-quality pans, to easy mixes. Shop their extensive baker’s store to get all the supplies you’ll need for your holiday baking. We’ll arrive in Montreal and check into our hotel, Le Centre Sheraton Montreal. You’ll have the evening on your own to explore.

 

DAY 2 – Today we’ll explore the vibrant FrenchCanadian city of Montreal on a full-day tour with a local guide. We’ll start with a visit to the stunning Notre-Dame Basilica, and then continue our tour to see Ste-Catherine Street, St-Helen Island, Mont-Royal, St-Joseph's Oratory, The Old Port, Place Jacques Cartier, Old 21 Town, The Olympic Village and Tower, Botanical Garden and more. We’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at Essence Restaurant before visiting St. Joseph’s Oratory of Mount Royal. Located in the heart of Montreal, in the lush and historic Mount Royal district, this internationally renowned pilgrimage destination is steeped in history and culture. Tonight, you’ll have time for dinner on your own in Old Montreal before returning to Notre-Dame Basilica for the Aura Experience, a four-act immersive multimedia display of dynamic light, orchestral music and expressive architecture within the heart of the Basilica. DAY 3 - The Château Ramezay was selected as one of the 1001 historic sites you must see before you die. Montréal's portal to its past, it was built in the 18th century as a prestigious residence and the first building in Québec to be classified an historic monument. We’ll visit for a Victorian Christmas celebration. Enjoy time for lunch on your own, before visiting the Great Montreal Christmas Market. Be enchanted by over 40 chalets of local and regional artisans, enjoy musical and theatrical programming, be lulled by the sweet smell of mulled wine, and taste festive delicacies. Whether you are a lover of classical music, a rock fan, or passionate about traditional holiday music, the diverse artistic program will satisfy all tastes. The talented artists will offer vibrant performances, captivating melodies, and catchy rhythms to celebrate this festive season. Tonight, enjoy a delicious dinner at St. Hubert, then experience the beauty of Montreal during the holiday season with a nighttime tour of the city's best light displays. (B,D)

 

DAY 4 – Start the day with a visit to the Montreal Christmas Village, a charming festive village set up near the Atwater market. Enjoy browsing through the booths made up of local and regional artisans showcasing their treasures, and the Villages many activities there. Afterward, you’ll have time for lunch on your own in the Atwater Market. This afternoon, we’ll visit the Jean Talon Christmas Market. One of North America’s largest open-air public markets, located in Montreal’s Little Italy during the holiday season, the market transforms into a twinkling winter haven. A delicious dinner is included tonight at the Vieux Point Restaurant. Later, enjoy an amazing panorama 196 feet high on the largest observation wheel in Canada. La Grande Roue de Montréal brings you an unforgettable experience, in the comfort of a climate-controlled gondola. (B,D)

 

DAY 5 – Enjoy a leisurely morning and a chance to revisit a Christmas Market before we depart for the Cape.
