Pennsylvania Grand Canyon

Pennsylvania Grand Canyon

Travel to the beautiful PA countryside and experience the spectacular Pennsylvania Grand Canyon

Pennsylvania Grand Canyon

Wednesday, October 22 - Saturday, October 25

You'll LOVE this trip to the beautiful PA countryside, and we're traveling there during fall foliage season, so don't forget your camera!

DAY 1 - We'll head to North/Central PA, and overnight at The Genetti Hotel, a SureStay Collection by Best Western, located in the heart of Downtown Williamsport. Enjoy a fine dining experience at Le Jeunne Chef Restaurant, the Pennsylvania School of Technology Culinary Schools' teaching restaurant, hosted by Culinary Arts students, faculty chefs, and Le Jeune Chef's professional staff. We'll peak inside the restaurants' kitchen and enjoy a multi-course dinner. (D)

DAY 2 - Depart for a full day of touring with our local costumed guide. Visit the Annunciation Church and tour the Victorian Rowley House on Millionaires' Row, then visit the Community Arts Center. We'll tour the Thomas T Tabor Museum to learn about the history of north central Pennsylvania. Then, enjoy a relaxing 1-hour narrated Susquehanna River cruise aboard the Hiawatha Paddlewheel Riverboat to view the beautiful natural scenery. Enjoy dinner at the 1854 Herdic House Restaurant, a beautifully preserved example of Victorian architecture that reflects the opulence of the era, with intricate woodwork and period furnishings. (B,D)

DAY 3 - Depart for Wellsboro's PA Grand Canyon Overlook and Visitor Center. We'll experience the canyon as the early settlers did on our old-fashioned two-hour PA Grand Canyon covered wagon ride. We'll travel the Upper Gorge along Pike Creek for some amazing views as our guide takes you through the history of the canyon and its folklore. Then, enjoy a delicious Cowboy Cookout before traveling back to our hotel. (B,D)

DAY 4 - Visit the Corning Museum to see the world's most celebrated collection of glass, from Ancient Egypt to present-day glass art. At the Innovation Center, activity stations let you bend light, bend glass, and bend your imagination. The watch master glassmakers take molten glass and skillfully blow, twist, and sculpt it in front of you! You'll have free time to explore the quaint downtown area before we head back to the Cape.
