Sunday, June 7 - Wednesday, June 10

Explore all of Philadelphia's historical and culinary gems on this spotlight tour of America's birthplace for the 250th Anniversary!

DAY 1 - We'll begin our Philadelphia visit with a visit to the National Constitution Center, a museum dedicated to the legacy and history of the US Constitution. Discover the story of "We the People" as you cast your ballot for the president of your choice, take the presidential oath of office, decide a Supreme Court case, and see the Center's film, Freedom Rising. Conclude your tour with a trip to Signers' Hall to meet the Founding Fathers present at the signing of the Constitution. After the tour, we'll check into our hotel, the Renaissance Philadelphia Downtown, located in the heart of the historic district, just one block from Independence Hall & the Liberty Bell. This evening, enjoy dinner on the historic Moshulu ship. Launched in 1904, she had a long and exciting career on the seas and is now considered one of Philadelphia's best restaurants. (D)

DAY 2 - You'll experience history where it happened in the most historic square mile in the United States, where we'll see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Congress Hall, Carpenters' Hall, Christ Church, and Elfreth's Alley. We'll enjoy a three-hour bus tour of the city, complete with a visit to Society Hill to stroll through the charming neighborhood's elegantly restored townhouses, hidden gardens & courtyards, and historic Head House Square. Then, eat like a local on a Philadelphia food themed walking tour. Enjoy Philly favorites like the iconic cheesesteak and tomato pie while learning about the history of how some of these foods came to be. We'll take a one hour guided tour of the new Museum of the American Revolution exhibit - The Declaration's Journey. To mark the 250th anniversary of our nation's founding, the Museum presents a major special exhibition exploring the history and global impact of the Declaration of Independence from 1776 to today. You'll have time after our tour to explore the rest of the museum's collection of Revolutionary-era weapons, personal items, documents, and works of art that highlight the complexities of our nation's history. (B, L)

DAY 3 - Enjoy the day on your own to explore all that Philadelphia has to offer. With our hotel in the heart of Philadelphia, there are endless museums, works of art, and culinary delights for everyone's tastes. An optional hop-on-hop-off bus pass is available to make getting around a breeze. (B)

DAY 4 - You'll have a leisurely morning at the hotel before enjoying free time to visit the country's oldest open-air market, Philadelphia's Italian Market. As you browse the market, you'll find everything from Sicilian square pizza, salami and balsamic vinegar, hand stretched mozzarella, warm tortillas, cannolis, and more! You'll have time to do some shopping and grab lunch on your own before we return to the Cape. (B)
